NEW ZEALAND V. QUEENSLAND.

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR

ALL BLACKS

(Received July 26, 5.5 p.m.) Brisbane, July 26. The weather was fine but dull for the match New Zealand v. Queensland. Five thousand spectators were present. Queensland kicked off against a light breeze. After the game had been in progress for a while New Zealand assumed the .command and had Queensland in difficulties. E. Roberts secured from the scrum and started a passing rush by Mackenzie, Ryan, R. Roberts, Lynch, who sent the ball back to R. Roberts, who scored in the corner. Graham failed to convert. A period of fast inside play followed. The Queenslanders made desperate efforts to score, but the defence was too solid. A brilliant passing rush among thc> New Zealand backs ended in Lynch scoring in the corner. Graham converted. New Zealand kept up the pressure, but met a solid front. Cock> roft landed a fine goal . from the Queensland ,25. After a desperate< struggle Williams scored for Queensland just before half time. Flynn converted.

On resuming New Zealand attacked strongly, but failed to pierce the defence. Queensland for a while showed to great advantage, and the forwards played with great dash, but the New Zealand defence was good. With play near the centre E. Roberts picked up from the ruck and passed to Taylor, who transferred to li. Roberts, the latter sending the ball to Lynch, who scored in the corner. Cockroft failed to convert. A few minutes later Tay lor and Lynch scored tries as the result of brilliant rushes by the backs. Graham, converted the former's score. The closing stages were greatly in favour of the New Zealanders. At half time the scores were, New Zealand 12, Queensland 5, and the final scores, New Zealand 26, Queensland 5.
