Queensland kicked off against a light breeze. After the game had been in progress for a while New Zealand assumed the .command and had Queensland in difficulties. E. Roberts secured from the scrum and started a passing rush by Mackenzie, Ryan, R. Roberts, Lynch, who sent the ball back to R. Roberts, who scored in the corner. Graham failed to convert. A period of fast inside play followed. The Queenslanders made desperate efforts to score, but the defence was too solid. A brilliant passing rush among thc> New Zealand backs ended in Lynch scoring in the corner. Graham converted. New Zealand kept up the pressure, but met a solid front. The closing stages were greatly in favour of the New Zealanders. At half time the scores were, New Zealand 12, Queensland 5, and the final scores, New Zealand 26, Queensland 5.
