V.A.T.C. STAKES INCREASED.

(Received July 1, 6.20 p.m.) Melbourne, July 1. The Victoria Amateur Turf Club has increased the stakes for next season'to about £45,000, including the Hopetoun and Armadale Clips,, the Eclipse Stages and the Gwyn and Mona Nursery Handicaps prizes each to £1000.
