MURCHISON STOCK SALE.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report a good yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Murchison yards on Friday last. Sheep were again keenly competed for and all lots submitted were sold at full rates. Wethers and empty ewes elicited spirited competi-. tion owing, no doubt, to buyers requiring same for turnips. In the cattle pens there was a nice line of 50 fat and forward bullocks on account of the owners of Mataki station, which realised £8 5s to £9 per head.' Other prices were as follows :— Sheep: Mixed ewes and wethers, fats 19s 2d; small wethers 14s lid; forward turnips wethers 18s 2d; empty ewes 16s 4d; ewes in lamb 14s Id, 14s 8d to 16s; light fat wethers 20s 6d; woolly wether lambs 14s; shorn ewe lambs 12s lid ; cull ewes 7s 3d. Cattle: Forward bullocks £7 12s 6d; light fat bullocks £8 ss; fat bullocks £9; light fat cows £5 7s 6d to £6 7s 6d; weaners 30s 6d; spring-calving heifers £5 10s; empty heifers £4 15s; store cows £3 15s to £4 10s.
