I Wargrave Church, near Henley, j built in 1536, was burned. A number of suffragette cards were found in the vicinity, inscribed, "A reply to tbe Government" • "A reply to tortures." A riverside" mansion near Windsor was also set on fire, but the flames were extinguished. On the occasion o^f Sir Edward Carson's arrival at Belfast, mill girls mobbed several suffragettes. They, stripped one of nearly all her clothing, and spanked her with her own shoes. They-stoned policemen who came to the rescue.
