EFFECT OF THE INCREASES
Sydney, June 2
The increased passage and freight rates between inter-State ports came into force yesterday. There is an increase of Is 6d a ton on general cargo,, while passenger fares have been-raised approximately ten per cent. The increases do not apply to live stock.
