London, May 31. In the final of the Universities match at Chiswick, Dixon defeated Harding o—2, 3—6, 7—5. Harding's fine service and remarkable volleying proved that he is a possible Davis Gup competitor, though he has not long been taking part in tournaments. At the Middlesex tennis tournament,, in the finals, Lowe defeated Harding, 7—5, 3—6, 7—5, B—6. - Dunlop and Lowe defeated Beamish and G. Watt, 7—5, 6—3, 6—4.
