A quiet but pretty wedding .was solemnised at the Cathedral on the 31st of December. The contracting parties wore the Rev.- Arthur Cros!*raan, of the AVest C«ast, and Miss Clara Catherine Nock, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. S. Nock, of "Gkniffer," Wolfe street. The bride looked charming in her wedding gown of s?fc ivory satin, trimmed with beautiful old lace and pearls. The train hung from the shoulders. She wore the orthodox veil, surmounted by a crown of orange blossoms, a most beautiful pendant set with diamonds and rubies, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet. The bride was attended by one bridesmaid, her sister, Miss Nock, who was becomingly attired in a dress of crean silk poplin, and wore a pretty grey hat lined with pink silk, and trimmed with tulle and small pink roses. The "bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a lovely pendant set with pearls and garnets. After the ceremony a reception was held at "Gloniffer,"' where between thirty and forty guests assembled. The Rev. Mr Kem'pthorne officiated at the ceremony, and the duties of best man were tarried out by Mr Scracton. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Grossman loft by motor for Murchison. The bride was tlio recipient of many beautiful and woful presents, which bore testimony of the high esteem in which she »ns held both in Nelson and elsewhere.—Communicated.

Air and Mrs Robert' Tibbie celebrated their golden wedding at their residence, Vanguard street, yesterday afternoon, in the presence of members of thoir family and a number of intimate friends. Mr Tibbie waa born in Brightelston, Sussex, in 1829, and Mrs Tibbie is a native of Nelson, having been born here in 1843. ,They were married at Nelson on 25tli February, 1864, by the Eev. E. Thomas, Baptist minister. As a result of the union there are five sons. Messrs William, George, Harry, Noil, and Thomas Tibbie, and four daughters, Mrs W. Pryor" (Auckland), Mrs J. Scrimgeour (Wellington), and Misses S. and L. Tibbie, and eleven grand-children. Mr and Mrs Tibbie., both of whom are hale and hearty, were the recipients of congratulations from friends in Nelson and all parts of the Dominion.
