AMERICAN TRADE COMMISSION.
ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND

Auckland, March 15. Messrs J. Kirby, D. M. Parry, and Dr. A. A. Sno\vden>-American Trade Commissioners, arrived from Sydney today by the Riverina. • The Commission is sending three or four months investigating tho commercial and industrial conditions in Australasia with a view to promoting closer business relations between Australasia and the United States; also to examining Australasian legislation affecting them, with the idea of advocating the adoption of such laws as would seem advantageous to American industry. The Commission has been sent out by the National Association of Manufacturers, which is a very powerful organisation, the members of which employ over 5,000,000 workers.
