FINANCES OF THE EXPEDITION.

Melbourne, March 5. •"Professor Masson said that £10,000 would solve all the financial problems of Dr. Mawsori's expedition. Despite this need the Commonwealth's grant of £5000 had helped to smooth the financial difficulties. He expects to realise large sums from the sale of the pictures, as well as Dr. Mawson's book. So far there is no occasion to be. otherwise than cheerful on the question of money.
