For the correßpondmu period last yesr the North Island receipts ■totalled" £180,115, and the South Island £148,255. The oxpontbtnre 'last January was £125,785 North, ami £93,870 South, as against £123,968 and £98,551 respectively last year. The percenta-To of exwnditur© in ratio to revenue was 73.27 against 68-44 a year ago.
