WEDDING.

THOMAS—ROUGHTON:

A wedding was solemnised at St. Mary's Church yesterday,:the contracting, parties being Miss Reena M Roughton, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Roughtoh, Waimea street Nelson-, and Mr. F. Homo Thomas' postmaster at Tangowahine, late of tho Telegraph Department at Nelson. The "ceremony was performed by the Eev FaWer: Ainsworth: The bride, who twa'sigfeen away by her father, was tfnflaliu a handsome t dress of ivory # chess" satin,- with an-o'vertunic of ninon, draped with shadow lace, caught up with bunches of pearls, and orange blossoms. The veil was of embroid* ered Brussels eilk net, formed in the shape of a mop cap, with sprays of orange blossoms. The bride carried a. bouquet of white roses, clematis, and maiden hair fern. The bride was ati tended by Miss Marjorie Roughton, sister of the bride, who wore a dainty pale blue crepe de chene dress, with ruffles of white Irish lace, a mop cap to match, with tiny pink roses. Sh» carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and maiden .hair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Joseph Powell, of Tancownhine, as best Tr<*m. . Miss Mina Ward, organist of St. Mary's, presided at the organ, and as the happy couple left the-church she. rendered the "Wedding March." The bride's travelling costume was a tailored navy blue serge, and a hat to match. with white ostrich plumes. The presents were both handsome arid numerous, amongst them being several cheques. The bride and bridegroom left for a tour of the North Island, en route for^ Tango wahine (North Auckland) their future home, amidst thegood wishes of many friends.
