UPPER MOUTERE ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of thf! Upper Moutere Road Board was held on Saturday evening, January 31st, whon all members (with the exception of Mr D. Bcnsemann) uere p-csent. Mr A. Bensemann was in the chair.

The chairman re-ported on the cul\ert noar Mr Eggcrs' ; also on Dove Hill road. '

Accounts totalling tl'i 19s 6d wcj-o passed for payment. A memo, was received from the Treasury re placing to the board's credit in the bank the sum of £120, being £70 progress payment for the Dovo Hill road, and £50 for Harvey's road contract. A memo, was also received from the county clerk re payment to board's credit of the sum of £20, being the i second instalment of the 1912-13 rates. A tender was received from. Mr L. Eggers for the purchase of piles, but it was resolved that the- tender be not accepted. * It was resolved that th? .■.secretary giv'O notice to property owners re the clearing of noxious weeds on the roadside adjoining their properties. The following works were: authorised : One day filling in ruts and repairs to culvert on Harvey's and Gardiner's roads: one day opening watertables Sunrise Valley road; that £2 he; spent on Best's road' in repairing culverts, etc., Mr Harvey to superintend.
