HE WOULDN'T GIVE WAY.

There is in Sydney (says the "Daily Telegraph") a stout and solid politician. His supporters think that all men should' get out of his way. The inadvertent removal of an opponent at the recent election led Jiim to accept that opinion. The other day h© met a man who would not get out of his way. Neither wou'.d the politician. It was in the crystal tangle at the White City —an arrangements of doors and mirrors sufficiently puzzling to confuse even a Parliamentary intellect. So it happened that the statesman in his progress through this tangle found himself confronted by a man of weigh!ty and purposeful appearance. He strode on with a determined air. He would not give way to vthis fellow. The fellow was apparently as resolute. The inevitable followed. Bump! Crash!. Two portly waistcoats came together with an amazing impact. There was a clatter of broken glass. The irresistible force had met the immovable body, for the politician bad collided violently with his reflection in a mirror.
