NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. [United Pbess Association.] Dunedirt, Feb. 7. The New Zealand amateur athletic championship meeting was held on the Caledonian ground to-day in perfect weather, thdugh the ground was a bit heavy as the result of recent rain. About 2000 people were present. Taking it on, the Whole, competition was very keen, but in several events the fields were small. The Wellington team was very strong, Martis, Hudson, Doj'le, nndWilton proving, a solid quartette. Marti© wag not troubled in either of his races, and Hudson put up a fine performance in the three miles, completing the distance in 12sec less time than was occupied by Beatson when the latter won the Australian championship.
