t RECOGNITION OF UNIONS INSISTED UPON. > (Received Sept 21, 5.5 p.m.) Sept 20. The omnibus companies and thomen's union have agreed to confer with Sir George K. Askwith on Monday. Meanwhile there will be no general strike of 'busmen in London. The Steam Car aßd British Automo-.-bile Companies, employing many xnotoF 'bussos, hare agreed to recognise the union's representatives. • The men declare that they will not : agree to anything Sir George Askwith suggests unless the unions are recognised. This view finds general support, and if it fails the strike will begin on Monday night with the support of the tube men. v Five thousand non-unionists have joined the union since the beginning of the dispute.
