SCHEME,
ministers" confident
Sydnoy, Aug 23
A Cabinet meeting discussed Mr Wade's censure motion, asd Ministers anticipate that the motion will be defeated by about eight votes. They emphasise that they are tinder no obligation to submit Norton Griffiths and Company's railway scheme to the House, which had already approved of the proposed railways.
Mr Wade, in a speech at Campsie, accused the Government of almost bankrupting the country by wanton extravagance, and of contravening one of the leading planks of its platform by borrowing in the manner proposed.
