A WAREHOUSE DAMAGED

Auckland, June 1
A fire; broke oiifc at 7 o'clock last night in a. largo five-storey warehouse of Laidlaw. Leeds, and Company. Fort street. The ' outbreak-originated in a heap of rubbish at the bottom of the lift well, and the flames went straight up the well, breaking out again in ■bedding stored on the top floor. Considerable damage was done on the top floor, a great deal of damage being done to the stock by-water. The total extent of the damage and insurances are not available.
