MOEUEKA. (From \Ow Otvn Correspondent.) The usual weekly mooting of the Motueka .Social a:nd Litorary Club was held on Monday evening, Mr C. Castles in the chair.' A debate took place on ■the question, "That corporal punish.rnent is justifiable." The affirmative side was taken by Messrs Thonipson. (leader), Griffin, Budden, .Rodger, -and IJLi. After an interesting discussion the affirmative; was carried on the casting vote of the chairman.
