The magistrate at Calgary committed Tommy Burns and Pelkey for trial ""on a charge of the manslaughter of Macarty, ignoring tlio coroner's verdict. The accused were admitted to bail.
The police deny that the fight was unlawful, or a prize .fight such as the Canadian law prohibits. A full investigation of Mararty's death however, is
necessary
