TAINUI'S FLOODED HOLDS.

PASSENGERS AT PLYMOUTH

ORDERLY TRANSFERENCE TO THE

GARTH CASTLE

The pumps are working in tho Tainui's No. 1 hold. Tho cargo in No. 2 hold is washing about. The captain proposes to stop the leaks and proceed to the Thames. The passengers have landed at Plymouth. They describe the transfer to the Garth Castle as being like a regatta procession. The sea was smooth, and all the boats wero lashed together |to avoid being lost in the fog. The women and children were first placed m .tlio Tainui's boats,, then the ! married men, and finally the single men. The Garth Castle was a quarter of a milo distant. The fog continued until the Lizard was reached.
