The Privy Council is bearing the appeal of the Commonwealth Government v«rsus the Adelaide Steamship Company, familiarly called the Vend ap-
pual. . The Privy Council was not satisfied that the High Court was wrong on the grounds of pure law,, and argument is proceeding as to whether the agreement was detrimental to tho public interest.
During the course of argument tho Lord Chancellor said he had found nothing at present detrimental to the public.
