DEBATE IN THE SENATE.
CANADA'S IMPERIALISM
Ottawa, May 27
During the naval debate in the Senate, Mr J. A.. Lougheed said that Canada was just as much a part of the Empift-e ais Britain, and it was absurd to suggest, as the Liberals did, that Canada ought to stop to consider when war came if Canada would participate. Canada would be driven to participate bemuse her \ shores were . likely to be invaded. Mr Lougheed emphasised the point that Canadian battleships could be recalled at any time if Canada1 so decided.
