GARAGE «D RESIDENCE DfIftROYED. {United Peess Association. j| Invercargill, Feb. 18. At 3.30 this morning a lire broke out in a motor garago belonging to W. G. O'Connor, of Otautau. Ihe flames had scoured a firm hold when discovered, and nothing was eared. O'Connor had for tho past three yours carried on business us a motor and cycle agent. All the stock, which was covered by a policy of £175, and included a-motor car, was destroyed. Adjacent to the building was a fourroomed cottage belonging to E. McIvor, and this was also destroyed. Tho place was unfcenanted. ' , The insurances on the buildings aro not available, but O'Connor estimates his loss tat between £500 and £600.
