A DROWNING TRAGEDY.
Wellington, Foh. 18. Three men, Malcolm, Pengelly, and Guinnane, employees .of the Railway Department, went out in, a boat to fish off Paokakariki late this afternoon. At a. distance of less than half a mile from the sh<vro a. heavy swell tipsetthe boat. Guinnann. and Malcolm hung; on to the «ide of the boat, but Plengelly sank immediately, and wa« not seen again. The boat drifted about for sonio time, and finally a rescue pßTty went out and picked up Guinniane andiMaloolm. The latter was in a very' -condition, and suffering considerably through being knocked against the boat fby/the ..waves. • T^
