WHEAT SHIPS.

, Three miles of giant cargo steamers, their holds filled with millions of bushels of wheat, were riding at anchor inside the breakwater of the outer harbour at Buffalo (U.S.A.) on December 13 last, forming one of the heaviest blockades of grain in the history of that port.. The total cargo value of the- fleet in-winter quartore at Buffalo was estimated at £4,000,----000. Tho .15,000,000 bushels of grain were to bo transhipped at tho rato of 500 to I'OOO carloads a day during the winter, and tho remainder will be shipped by canal in the spring.
