Dunedin, Feb. 13. Tlio weather changed somewhat eud 7 denly this morning, and a heavy gaJo set in accompanied by rain. This raged, for about.two hours, but the -weather afte-rward® cleared. The' gale extended to Central Otago, and at Clyde it did oon&idera'ble damage to the fruit crops, particularly to apples and pears, which have fallen heavily. A number of trees have been practically destroyed.
