Four railway emploj'ees named Grant, Pennifold, Dagger, and Louch, whilst sailing at Port Wakofield were capsized.

Green and Pennifold attempted to swam ashore, but disappeared, and Dagger was washed off the upturned boat.

Louch drifted ashore almost dead Pennifold's body was recovered.
