The Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast, as from 5 p.m. N< day, are as follows : — Thie barometer is now lowest about Kaikoura, and is rising s'owly at the Bluff. Moderate to strong .v/e-su-rly ■winds have prevailed in the north, and -southerly winds strong to ralo are now predominating in the south. Hair. lias fallen in many, parts of the South Island, and cloudy weather has prevailed in the,north. Presen^ indications are lor strong southerly winds, predominating everywhere, unsettled, showery and •colder weather is probable everywhere, .and a rising barometer.
