Wellington, Fob. 12.- ---'.;■ Excelleritwork was done by the fire brigade 1 lot evening in confining a dangerous • blaze in a vory old and inflammable building at the corner of Grey and Featherstoiio streets, to tho premisrgfl where the fire- originated. Despite the fact that tho fire had got a good hold when the brigade. * arrived and that a heavy wintT was blowing, the outbreak was subdued in 20 -minutes. Tho building was owned by Mr. C. B. Morrison, K.C., and was insured for £1000 in the London.and Liverpool and GLobe Office. -^ The fire «tai-tcd in the offioo of C. Bryant; a. film agent. His stock, which was practically all destroyed, was insured for £360 in tho British Dominion 'office.
