FINDING OF THE BODIES.
One Ton camp was found in order and well provisioned. Proceeding alossg tho old southern route, on the 12th of November Mr. Wright's party sigated -Captain Scott's tent. "Within it wore found the bodies of Captain B. F. Scott, R.N., Dr. E. A. Wilson, «hkf of the scientific staff; and Lieutenant H. 11. Bowers, "Royal Indian Marine. * -: From their records the following information was gleaned:— The first' death was that of >Seaman

His feet and hands .'wore ■ badly frostbitten, and although he struggled on heroically, on tho 16th of March his comrades know hi 8 ond was approaching. He had borne intense suffering for a week without complaint, and ho did not give up hope until the vory end.
Captain Scott writes: "He was a brave soul. He slept through tho night hoping not to wake, but awoke in the morning. It was blowing a blizzard."
Oates said: 'I am just going outsidj, and may be some time.'-
"He went out into the blizzard, a-d wo have not seen him since."
Captain Scott adds: "Wo know that Oates was walking to his death, but though we tried to dissuade him we knew it was the, act of a brave man and an English gentleman."
Oh March 6tlx Captain Oates >ns really unable -to travel, but the others could not 'leave him. After his 'gallant death, Scott, Wilson and Bower 6 pushed northward when the abnormally bad weather would let them, but were ; forced to-camp on the 21st of March in latitude 79 degrees 40 minutes south longifcudo 169 degrees 13 minutes, east,' •eleven miles south of the : big depot .'at On^ Ton Camp. . Thfe they never reached, owing to:* blizzard,; which is known from the records to have- lasted nine days, overtaking them, and food and aaiel giving out.
