GEAR COMPANY'S WORKS OPEN
INUNDATION OF APPLICATIONS.
Wellington, Feb. 11. Operations were resumed at the Gear Company's works at Petone this morning. Forty butchers were employed, and >up to lunch time they had put through 400 sheep. _ The local companies report that they are being inundated with applications from men, but are giving preference to those with experience.
