The third wool sale of the 1912-18 Beamn was hold in the Town Hall to-day when-a catalogue cf approximately
15,732 bales offered by all bickers was submitted, to buyers. * Our portion of this total was 5,068 bales. Tlie1 buyers' 'were • tuJly represented, and competition was vory animated, title • bidding being keen for ©very lot submitted. The firm market ruling at the cose of the-January 6ales in London had -a splendid effect on to-day's ottering, and tho result Avas that theijp was a use, alter making due allowance for condition, of from \d to id per lb., as compared with tho. wool sale held .on January Bth, nnd^practicaliy every lot iii our catalogue, was cleared under the hammer, W© had vory few lines of super crossbred and offered a fow parcels of light, woil-grown lambs*' wool. As is usual at this time ol the year, th© offerings consisted mainly of back country wool, anc utuwai was very noticeable in many par■eels. Several linos arrived in storo toe late to'offer in this sale, and these- arc held ovor for tho next sale.
