By this time two- constables had climbed to an adjoining verandah, and in an attempt to bring Miss Mandelson across the gap which separated the two roofings, she overbalanced, and fell to: the pavement, a distance of about 12ft. She was carried to an adjacent house, whore she was attended to. She was considerably bruised, and is suffering from ©hock.
