OUTBREAK ON A STEAMER.

Auckland, Feb. 10.
A fire broke cut on the steamer Stella yestoulay at Shoal Bay in the forward hatch, filled with cnal. 'A stream of water was, poured into the steamer for thres- homi&y befoie tho fire was extinguished, and the vessel settled on the. bottom. The hull is apparently undamaged. The fire is attributed to spontaneous combustion.
