AVOID OPERATIONS.
Extract from London ' 'Medical Magazine for May, 1910:—' 'Thes« ferments obtained from the papaw, are made Tip in the form of an ointment and gargle, and are recommended as an application to enlarged "glandular tissues, tumours, and ulcerations. The present preparation seems to combine the most active ferments of the plant in a successful manner. Its activity was demonstrated by -^veral cases of hypertrophy of the turbfrcl bodies, and in cases or enlarged tonsils. After three or four weeks' application there was very, very marked improvement. There can be no doubt that the preparation is unusually effective, and should prove very serviceable, obviating the necessity for operative procedures in many cases. Such operative procedures are often adopted much too hastily. The present ferments are well deserving of a trial, and in many cases we have no doubt th© result will be satisfactory." Papaw Ointment, Is 6d (for ulcers, tumours, goitre, and poisoned wounds); Papaw Papayato, 2s 6d (for nasal, catarrh); Papaw jGoriic, 2a 6d; Papaw Pil© Cure, 2s 6d. WJbotesolo: J. H.
