Notwithstanding a drizzing rain throughout the day 13,000 people watched the continuation of the Trumper benefit match. The wicket was slow. Macartney and Barbour played brilliantly. Trumpsr received a great ovation. Rest of Australia made 358; Matthews {not out) 18. New --South Wales lavo lost 3 wickets for 214 runs; Barbour"B6, Macartney 91, Trumper (not out) 27.
