.NELSON WINS THE DOUBLE.

Leaper shield by 32. '.The.Nelson Club were a little elated over the double win," especially as Maitai in the pennant games had proved itself .invincible in the previous four matches. Both greens were much keener than usual, and a number of players found them difficult/ At the conclusion of the pennant game,'Mr. W. Dee, president of the Maitai Club, in handing over the pennant, coniplinvented. v the winners on the day's success. Mr.' R. W. Stiles (secretary of the Nelson Club) in the absence of the Club's president and vice-president, received the pennant and cordially endorsed the good relations between the two ciubs. Hearty cheers were exchanged. The results are as follows:—
