Some of those who ate the pressed beef, and tinned tongues were not affected. One person was so ill that lie had to be left at Rangiora. One railway carnage was 6et apart for tlie other sufferers all of whom were sick on the journey from Rangiora to town. It is stated,that ten cases are considered to be somewhat serious, though th« majority are reported this afternoon to bo progrcßSdng favourably.
