A bush firo devastated a village settlement at Monbulk, and destroyed fifteen houses besides the Mechanics' Institute and State school, and damaged others. t

The Beaconsfield ranges wore swept, and several adjacent farmors suffered loss. "~. '" ""'

Fires Elsewhere caused damage at Willow Grove. Foster, Walsalla, and Maffra.
