A tragedy occurred at Erskineville to-day. Robert Knight, aged SI, and Mary Walker, aged 18, both belonging to Victoria, arrived at Sydney a weekago. Thoy wero sweethearts'.

They quarrelled, and Knight was heard saying, '"If you won't marry mo you won't marry anyone-else." Knight shot the girl, who is not seriously injured. Ho then shot himself fatally.
