For porno time past arrangements have b-eon in proyresp for a sale of work and Christmas tre-o in connection with the raising of funds for St. -Mary's school. The function war, hold yesterday, being opsned in the afternoon by the Ecv. Father Gop^r.n. There was a good attendance lx)th in the afternoon and in tho evening, the stalls and refreshment, room being well patronised.! In tho evening the articles, numbering 400, w-ero distributed from the Christmas trep. to ticket holders. The- list of stali-holde-rs was as follows :— Plain' and fancy stall: Vaughan and Macquarrie, Micscs Dirnent and Watson. ■■ Christmas tree : Mi^s Buntiy. Sweets stall: Missw Ward and Clark. Tea kiosk: Mrs. Gilbert• W?r<l. and Misses Dunne, Clark, ItoughtoTi, and Fra-ser.
