WOOD SUNDAY SCHOOL.

The sale of work in connection with tho Wood Sunday school was opened yesterday afternoon by His Lordship Bishop Sadlier, who congratulated those wJio had organised the function on the success of their efforts. In spite of the wet weather there was a fair attendance in the afternoon, and m tho evening, when a concert programme was rendered, the floor' space was crowded. Tho following items were contributed:—

Pianoforte duet, Miss C. Kempthorno and Z. Bisley; song, Miss Mitchell; violin, solo, Miss C. Rowe; song, Mr iiottsi- Kooal duett, Misses Riyo and Rowe; song, Miss Richards; two part songs by Misses E. Rowe, Scaly, Rive, and Saxon; recitation, Mr H. Barltrop. The following are the results of the competitions : —Decorated sponge sandwich, Mrs Grimmett; sponge roll, Mr Boyes : special for fruit cake, Miss Stewart ; tarts. Miss E. Dayman; scones, Mrs D. Hurley.

Mr Adam Day judged the exhibits.

The stalls and stall-holders were as follows:—

Workstall: Mrs Estcourt, Misses Capper, Dayman and Scaly. Sweet stall: Mrs. L. Dixon, Miss E. Dayman and M. Mitchell.

Produce stall: Mrs Cotton and Misses E. Harris, Johnson and F. Watson.

Cake stall: Mrs H. Rudman

Afternoon tea stall: Mesdames Dayman, Dixon, and Misses Stewart, C. Dayman and Greenfield.

Bran tubs: Miss Sloan, Misses Ethel and Ivy Estcourt, A. Sloan, and Betty Hair.
