The .second and final performance of "Castp" wa s given in -the Theabro Royal last evening by tho Nelson Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society. Again the Theatre was crowded to mcrrknving r>y an audie-ii--- wnich received the rendering heartily. At the second appearance the players had got fully into their stride., and tho pi&cJ was gone through without a hitch. The oioh'c-Ytra'c selections, under tho conductorslnp of Mr. A. G. llibrnpsoii (in tho absence of Mr. T. C. C. Scott) were much appreciated. It is assured that the Society will have a very substantial credit balance as a result of tho pro-
duction of "Caste."

form anco1, th.o performers and a number of friends wore tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus St. John at vsuppor at V-j Shakespeare tea rooms-, in Trafalgar street, where a very pleas-ant hour was spent.
