A Russian, immigrant who was a witness in a District Court case-,-when asked whether he would agree to an adjournment, replied "I am going to tho consumption sanatorium to-morrow." Enquiry showed that ho was an incurable consumptive. The Bench ordered the destruction of the Bible which the witness had kissed. A solicitor remarked that he had met three consumptive witnesses in threo weeks, all of them immigrants.
