MEETING AT INVERCARGILL

Invercargill, June 28. At a meeting of the Invercargill branch of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute to-night theiollowing resolutions were passed: (1) That this meeting strongly protests against the utter failure of the present' Minister of Railways to 'parry out tho findings of the responsible 'Parliamentary Conimittee of the JCII session .-flf Parliament On tlie petition presented by the Institute; (2) that this meeting ■ fully supports the executive in again oetitioning Parliament, and views with alarm the readiness of the Minister of Railways to accept the statcirsnts anu figures supplied by the Department in preference" to statements and figures, carefully and accurately prepared, submitted by the executive of tho Institute; (4) thnt* in view if the utter failure or the Minister of Railways to make any reasonable provision to carry out the findings of the Parliamentary Committee, this rr-oeting suggests to the executive council the advisability of "wing into the matter vof joining hands with the United Labour Party.
