INSUFFICIENT COASTAL LIGHTING.
Tho north and north-eastern portionof the New Zealand coast from Auckland northwards, in the opinion of 131" captains and officers of steamers trading in those waters, who have petitioned the House is urgent need of the? following additional lights: A first class light and a fog signal on the Big King ; unwatched lights on Flat Rock, eastward of Kawau, and on Channel Island, on the south entrance to Hauraki Gulf ; and a light and a, fog signal on NorthCane. -
