The winds have been variable, and moderate to strong generally, westerlies predominating. Present indications aro for cloudy and unsettled, weather generally with showers, especially on the West 'Coast. Conditions will probably be squally about Foveaux Strait, where there are evidences of disturbances to the southwards of New Zealand. Moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds are probable, with a falling barometer everywhere, and- very -unsteady in tho southernmost districts.
