Mr Donald Campbell, the Commonwealth representative on the Imperial Trade Commission, interviewed, said he had endeavoured to induce tho Commission to take evidence and make recommendations concerning inter-Do-minion reciprocal Customs treaties, but tho chairman ruled adversely.

,Mr Campbell says this practically excludes all forms of preference, including tariff and subsidies 'for-'shipping, and will reduce the scope of the Commission's usefulness. He questions the 1 justification, of expenditure upon it.
