FRENCH WHEAT DUTY.
A TEMPORARY MODIFICATION.

The Senate adopted a Bill modifying the regulations for temporarily admitting foreign wheat. The Minister of Agriculture stated that speculators systematically caused a shortage with a view of-compelling a- suspension of the duty, but the plot had failed.
