SPACE DIFFICULTY ADJUSTED

The exporters put forward their views, and these were substantially accepted by the Company's representatives. An arrangement has been effected, subject to the Government's approval, under which 30,000 cubic feet of th« cold storage space in the steamers will to at tho complete disposal of New Zealand chipneis for 5G days before tho Auckland sailing dat?, and half of the '•.nßcv not tl^en applied for will continue 4 the call of New Zealand shippers for another 28 days. The- space, if any then unoccupied, can bo utilised by Australian consignments. I understand that this is regarded by tho New Zoahnd traders as thoroughly .ratipfiietory, and that they appreciated the prompt way in which the Union Company mot their requirements.
